Meaning of computer: Computers can be defined as electronic devices that receive, store and process the input data to generate the right output. In order to receive the right and desired output, one should enter the right information or data in computers.

Importance of computers

1.EDUCATION:Today in the field of education computers have become a neccesity for both teachers                           as well as teachers.teachers use computer for improvement of their teaching  material and for students to prepare their assingments and for completing their homework 


2.INTERNET:With the help of internet on computers we stay connected with our friends and                       family. Computers provide us information and also entertain us. Today, we just need to type a word in the search engine and numerous pages open up for providing information on that particular word! Computers are extremely helpful in the distribution of information and knowledge. Also, we can watch movies, videos, news, etc., on computers with internet. Computers also help us generate money as there are many jobs and businesses that can be done online. Moreover, the online banking systems, online shopping and similar internet supported concepts on computers help save our time as well as money.

3.Calculation:computers are also helpful in solving complex problems in seconds where on other hand humans take too much time to solve the problems

4.Helpful In business: as business have a consumed a wide dimesnion which has results in taking on to much business activites which involves cash activites and it creates problems for a businesman to remember all the transactions. So cmputers help them to record all the business transactions and solve them in a ease and also helps them to analyse their activites


4.Entertainment – Computers are great sources for entertainment. They give us plethora of choices when it comes to entertainment. We get to listen to music, watch movies and videos and chat with our friends with the help of computers.



Conclusion: Computer is one of the best gifts of technology! They are a pack of entertainment, information, knowledge and intelligence. Undoubtedly, computers have made significant contribution in human life and progress, but we suggest that one should not become a slave of technology! What we exactly mean to say is that we should spend time in front of screen with a purpose and meaning and that, we should always remember that the real world lies off-screen!
